Conversion fails for slide with embedded objects

PowerPoint allows you to create presentations with a wide range of objects embedded within the slides. On occasion, some of these objects are too complex to be converted. If this happens, you will notice that the conversion fails when it gets to a certain slide number. Open up the original presentation in PowerPoint and go to that slide and the slides immediately before and after it. Look on those slides for any special objects such as charts, spreadsheets, word documents. You can replace any special object in a PowerPoint presentation with a regular image file. To do so, follow the instructions below:

  1. Open the original file with PowerPoint.

  2. Navigate to the slide with the offending object (the slide number reported when the conversion initially failed).

  3. Select all the offending objects by pressing CTRL + A.



  4. Right click on the object, then click on Save as Picture...
